Courses
Courses provided here at The Printroom vary, from beginners guide to screen printing, using hand cut stencils (£85pp), to learning the art of drawing patterns in repeat, and translating those designs onto a silk screen using photo emulsion and UV lights - and printing those repeating patterns onto fabric.

If you would like to make your fabric into a lampshade we can do this. Its a great way to see your creations becoming a 'thing' - This is a £20 add on and needs to be requested in advance
We also do a Lino cut repeat pattern for fabric workshop. This is a new course. We create a repeat, cut that into a lino block and print onto fabric. (£35pp)
Another workshop that is much shorter and a fun one to do with your children is Print a Tea Towel using pre cut blocks. All you need to do is turn up and get started. (£35pp) This is just a 2hr session.
During the Christmas season I also put on a Christmas Cracker making class. This is usually done during an evening with mulled wine, bubbles and nibbles. We use block printing methods and you make 6 bespoke crackers that incl. snaps, jokes and hats! Its a great 2hr course to do with friends or collegues. (£25pp)
*With any of the fabrics printed - if you wanted them to be made into cushions, lampshades, or even a Tea Towel, but rather not do that yourself, at extra cost I can make them up for you. It seems a waste to make and then for it to sit in a drawer doing nothing!

Beginners Screen Print Course, using hand cut stencils.
This course takes you through the process of basic screen printing, cutting out stencils, thinking about layering of colours, and printing your designs onto fabric.
All Abilities Screen Printing Fabric Course - using repeat patterns
We take you through the process of repeat patterns. You design your own repeating design that is then exposed directly onto a silk screen. We then print a length of fabric using your screen.
Print a Lampshade (All abilities)
This is exactly the same as above, but we make a lampshade with your printed fabric.
Lino Printed Fabric
We create a repeating pattern, and cut that design into a lino block.
Using that block we print onto fabric.
Again for an extra cost you can make a lamp shade, or else take away your fabric to do as you wish!
